School Shopping

For the last 2 yrs my daughter has had to wear a uniform to school. I hate uniforms, they say it saves money, and cuts down on confusion over clothes at the school. But let me tell you, it does not save money, because you have to buy uniforms, plus additional clothes to wear on the weekend and when they are not in school. And to cut down on confusion...Whatever, people with more money will buy more expensive uniforms, and keep them clean, and the people who don't care about their kids, will show when the white shirts are no longer white and the kids are looking like ragga muffins...lol...

So this year she is going to a new school for 1st grade, and saying goodbye to uniforms. And I have been school shopping like crazy. and it feels good, I can buy stuff from anywhere, Target, Macy's, Walmart, Limited too, Burlington etc.....

So...

Today I went to talk with my surgeon today. His name is Dr. Morris and his is the top surgeon at Regions Hospital. He is was very informative, and answered all our questions. Which was very comforting. We went over everything from what he was going to do, to healing time, and reconstruction. We also set my date for the surgery, which will be Monday August 17, 2009. So it is very soon. And I'm not prepared mentally at all, and I don't think I will be when they day finally arrives. But my husband very supportive, My mom will be here on the 13th or 14th. And I have a couple of friends I can count on, and last but certainly not least, GOD he is in control.

So as thing progress I will let you know how I'm feeling, and how things are going. I will continue to try and stay positive through this whole experience.
